PROJECT: I KNOW AND ACCEPT MYSELF
THEME:     Prehispanic Cultures, what do I do for MY MEXICO (my school)

GROUP: 2nd grade

DATE: October 23rd  to 27th , 2017 

Session: 1 (Monday )  

THEME: New vocabulary  words.
 
CURRICULAR AREAS:

KiVa lesson 1 Let’s get to know each other!

 SUBAREA
Writing and representing
Numbers
Goals and decisions.

DESIRED OUTCOMES (PLOS)
 Uses recognizable letters when writing familiar words.
 Describes the process of subtract.
Uses a goal-setting process.

DESIRED EVIDENCE (final products): Answers on their notebook and illustration.
ACTIVITIES: 1.In pairs discuss what sort of things can the word “safe” means. (15min.)
2. In pairs think how do you know if you are safe or if you are feeling safe at school. (10min.)
3. Talk about what things can make a school safe. (10min)
4. Write your answers on your KiVa notebook and illustrate them. (10min.)
5. Copy on your vocabulary notebook vocabulary words 1 to 5 week 10 one time. ( throw, walk, wave, clothes dress ) (10min.) 
6. Illustrate each one with a small drawing. (10 min.)
 
7. Write the homework on homework section. (10 min

THEME: Reading Comprehension, new vocabulary words
 
CURRICULAR AREAS:

DESIRED OUTCOMES (PLOS)
 Interacts with others for the purposes of compare the story with a movie, TV program or another book.  
Uses recognizable letters when writing familiar words. 

GROUP GOAL: Kids will publish in Facebook and Twitter their reading comprehension work. Students will write and illustrate new vocabulary words on the notebook.

DESIRED EVIDENCE (final products): Reading comprehensio work published in Facebook and Twitter. Students new vocabulary words written on the notebook.

ACTIVITIES: 1.  Daily routine. Date, We learn…, Brain Gym ( ocho perezoso ), Spell 3 words, Copy Homework. (30min.)
2. Kids will listen to the story. “ Not So Wise As You Suppose” by Michael Patrick Hearn( 2 min. )
3. They will compare it with another story, TV program  or movie and illustrate it using the iPad .      ( 20 min. )
4. They will share their work in Facebook and Twitter. ( 20 min. )
5. Kids will copy on their vocabulary notebook vocabulary words 6 to 10 week 10 one time.( glasses, handbag, hat, jacket, jeans ) ( 10 min. )
6. Kids will illustrate each one with a small drawing. ( 10 min. )
7. They will write the homework in homework section. ( 10 min)
