a Oliver...

Joseph: Ya lo sé!

Terrence: Bueno, sólo decía..

Mentor: Buenas tardes chicos.

guerra, saben? Esto es Expresionismo Abstracto.

Todos: Ooooh!

Mark: Bueno, está padre Derek. Este es mi trabajo
(Muestra su pintura).

Mentor: Oh, por Dios!

Alice: Ay mis ojos!

Mathew: Oye amigo, me siento mareado!

así! Es maravilloso!

perteneces...

Oliver: Qué?!

Fairy: Buenos amigos!!

Joseph: Gracias a-mi.go

Terrence: De nada amigo!

Fairy: Hey! Dejen de pelear. Qué no ven? Mi regalo no

a Oliver!

Oliver: Ves Sam? (Sam sonríe) Gracias! Este momento es perfecto!

Tom: Sí doc, además, Oliver no pudo haber leído las
cartas, por todas esas granadas!

Mentor: Ok todos, vamos a la fiesta!

Alice: Take it easy, he left two days ago!

Erika: (walking next to Samantha's table) Oh don't worry, maybe he is writing to another person... (smiling)

Samantha: Oh why do you say that??

Alice: Don't listen to her Sam, you know she is bad. (Looking to Erika as she says "bad").

Erika: Ja ja ja maybe I am (she walks away)

Fairy: (She gets walking into the cafeteria) Hello Samantha you don't know me, but I definitely know you! And let me tell you: "He is coming back".

Mark: Obviously is... What is it?

Derek: It is the way I feel about war, you know? This is "Abstract Expressionism"

Mark: Well, that's nice Derek. This is my work. (He shows it to the class).

Mentor: Oh my God!

Alice: Oh my eyes! (shouting)

Mentor: Well, I must accept that I have never seen something like this before! Good job, Mark.

Mark: Thank you! I call this "Op art"

Eddie: Well, I hope you like my work... You are very difficult people, do you know? (he shows his work)

All girls: Oh, how cute!

Mentor: Nice colors. Your work makes me feel calm.

Eddie: That's the idea! After all, we should find peace somewhere. Don't you think? (Asking to people).

Fairy: Hello everybody! I feel so happy to deliver my surprise to you!

Samantha: (whispering with Alice) I know that girl...

(Tom and Oliver get into the classroom, they look dizzy and confused...)

Alice: Sam! Look!

Everybody: Welcome home!!

Oliver: Hi! (Taking Samantha's hands)

Samantha: (Letting go Oliver's hands) Oh, here you are! I sent five letters to you! Why didn't you answered?!

Fairy: (shaking her wand over Samantha's head) You are not angry anymore!

Samantha: Yes, I am!

Fairy: No, you are not!

Samantha: Yes!

Fairy: No! Ash! (She hits the floor and shakes her skirt)

Joseph: Samantha, do you want to go to the prom with me?

Oliver: What??

Erika: Yes, Oliver, Joseph and Samantha are...

Fairy: Good friends!! They are good friends.

Terrence: Oliver, that lady...

Fairy: I am a fairy!

Terrence: Ok, sorry, the Fairy is right. Joseph wanted to invite Samantha to the prom, but she never speaks to him, I think Samantha, doesn't know Joseph.

Joseph: Thank you buddy! (very angry)

Terrence: You're welcome, bud. (He gets down to tie his shoes as Joseph tries to hit him).

Fairy: Hey!! Stop fighting! Can't you see? My gift is not exactly to take these guys with you today. My gift is the expression, the art. All people can express what they feel and think throughout art in all its ways.

Mentor: That's right. People should know that war is not necessary. We have, music, literature, drama, dance, and of course visual arts.

Dr. Lambert: Hey!

Tom and Oliver: What are you doing here, doc?

NegritaDr. Lambert: It's just that I always forgot to give these letters to Oliver!

JVS TRANSMEDIA STORY TELLING ART PROJECT: PURPUSE

PURPOSE: To find out the different movements in the Modern and Post-Modern Art. It includes period from 1945 to 1990.

During activities children got tools for making research, tools like iPads and Internet, also kids should work in team, so they got different responsibilities, like taking time, sharing the iPad, and of course find information to collect data and eventually, use information in the next part of this project.

I discovered that not all kids have the patience to look for information on the Internet, however kids have a high sense of friendship and kids really started to work in team, for that reason, all kids achieve the objective and found the characteristics of abstract expressionism, op art, pop art, minimal art, new realism, conceptual art, performance art, neo-expressionism, computer art, post-modern classicism, and Victorian revival.

JVS TRANSMEDIA STORYTELLING ART PROJECT: RESEARCH "POP ART"

Is an art movement that emerged in the mid 1950s in Britain and in the late 1950s in the United States.[1] Pop art presented a challenge to traditions of fine art by including imagery from popular culture such as advertising, news, etc. In Pop art, material is sometimes visually removed from its known context, isolated, and/or combined with unrelated material.[1][2] The concept of pop art refers not as much to the art itself as to the attitudes that led to it.[2]
Pop art employs aspects of mass culture, such as advertisingcomic books and mundane cultural objects. It is widely interpreted as a reaction to the then-dominant ideas of abstract expressionism, as well as an expansion upon them.[3] And due to its utilization offound objects and images it is similar to Dada. Pop art is aimed to employ images of popular as opposed to elitist culture in art, emphasizing the banal or kitschy elements of any given culture, most often through the use of irony.[2] It is also associated with the artists' use of mechanical means of reproduction or rendering techniques.
Much of pop art is considered incongruent, as the conceptual practices that are often used make it difficult for some to readily comprehend. Pop art and minimalism are considered to be art movements that precede postmodern art, or are some of the earliest examples of Postmodern Art themselves.[4]
Pop art often takes as its imagery that which is currently in use in advertising.[5] Product labeling and logos figure prominently in the imagery chosen by pop artists, like in the Campbell's Soup Cans labels, by Andy Warhol. Even the labeling on the shipping carton containing retail items has been used as subject matter in pop art, for example in Warhol's Campbell's Tomato Juice Box 1964, (pictured below), or his Brillo Soap Box sculptures.
 Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol (August 6, 1928 – February 22, 1987) was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. After a successful career as a commercial illustrator, Warhol became a renowned and sometimes controversial artist. His works explore the relationship between artistic expression, celebrity culture and advertisement. He worked in a range of media, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, film, and music. He founded Interview Magazine and was the author of numerous books, including The Philosophy of Andy Warhol and Popism: The Warhol Sixties. Andy Warhol is also notable as a gay man who lived openly as such before the gay liberation movement. His studio, The Factory, was a famous gathering place that brought together distinguished intellectuals, drag queens, playwrights, Bohemian street people, Hollywood celebrities, and wealthy patrons.
Warhol has been the subject of numerous retrospective exhibitions, books, and feature and documentary films. He coined the widely used expression "15 minutes of fame". In his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, The Andy Warhol Museum celebrates his life and work.
The highest price ever paid for a Warhol painting is US$100 million for a 1963 canvas titled Eight Elvises. The private transaction was reported in a 2009 article in The Economist, which described Warhol as the "bellwether of the art market".[1] Warhol's works include some of the most expensive paintings ever sold.

A SPECIAL PROJECT - UN PROYECTO ESPECIAL

We are working in a special project. The special thing about this project is that it will be a gift for our moms. Next May, we'll present an assembly in honor to our loved mothers.

The main topic is the History Art but we don't want to repeat all the teacher's information. We want to do something different, so here are the details!

First of all, Art's world has a lot of information, so we investigated Modern & Post-Modern Art. This period began in 1945 with the Abstract Expressionism and we found a lot of interesting things! An example is that we knew the Op Art. Can you imagine a lot of static lines, figures and colors cheating on your eyes? Well, just take a look!!

Our favorite is Pop Art because it contains a lot of colorful pictures of famous people and characters. Do you recognize this?
Of course we haven't finished yet; but now we'll work with the information we've got!

Keep in touch!!
